I really love my sport. Kiteboarding
truly is so liberating, being one with the elements.
The beach .. the sun .. the water ..
As you are reading this I must conclude you are also
interested in some Kiteboarding lessons :-)
I have been Kiteboarding for 6 years now, which is pretty
long as it is a relatively new sport. Since two years I am
an instructor at our local kite centre where I mainly give kiteboard
lessons to people. By working as an instructor over
the years I followed numerous courses how to teach the
basics to starting kiteboarders.
When people take private kiteboard lessons with me this
costs them 100$ an hour. There are also 3 courses (level 1,
2 and 3) with prices from 350$ to 700$. As you can see this
is pretty expensive.
My good friend Bart took similar kiteboard lessons in Egypt
a time ago and spend 400€ (540$). He was really disappointed
as there were 8 people in a group, which resulted in very
little “private” time with the instructor. Furthermore the
total course only took 6 hours …
As I really love Kiteboarding it hurts my heart every time
someone contacts the kite centre for kiteboard lessons and
they are blown away about the money they had to pay. This got me thinking
that there
should be a much cheaper way how to initiate people in the
beautiful sport of Kiteboarding.
Together with my friend Bob I therefore created a how to
Kiteboard eBook with all the things I learned my students
during the courses at the kite centre. I asked Bob to assist me in the
technical part of the project, as I am not a pc wizard like
he is :-)
Really all topics you can think of are covered in the book.
From wind theory to practising on the beach to safety
regulations (very important) to equipment knowledge to
equipment repairing to information about different kite
designs to launching and landing to tripping of the kite to
water re-launching to steering to body surfing to upwind
body dragging to getting into the board to the water start
to standing up on the board to staying riding to controlled
stops to body position to staying upwind to half and full S
turns to carve transitions to back rolls to first jumps to …
As you can see, I really bundled all the
“how to kiteboard” knowledge of my normal kiteboard lessons
into this eBook. It’s ideal for someone like you, who wants
to start from scratch with a small budget.
During my kiteboard lessons I am used to work with video’s
to show my students the important do’s and don’ts.
These video’s were made available online at this website in
the secure area. After you purchase the how to kiteboard eBook
you will also gain access to all the necessary video
material.
After Bob and I completed the how to kiteboard eBook I
wanted to check if someone could successfully learn to
kiteboard using this information. My intention is to help
people, so this was crucial for me. A friend of my brother
was interested in kiteboard lessons and he contacted me. As
an alternative I proposed to him to tryout the how to
kiteboard eBook. After a
week on the beach we had a beer together.
This is what Steve had to say:
“
Hello, I was planning to follow the 1+2+3 course at the kite
centre. I spoke to John and he asked me to test his new how
to kiteboard eBook. As he is known as the best
instructor at the kite centre (you owe me a beer John :-) I didn’t doubt a minute to test it. After a week on the
beach I can truly say all necessary information is there. In
the evening I looked at the available movies at the site,
during the day I read a lesson on the beach and then had a
try myself. It was really great. Instead of the 500 bucks I
had to pay I only had to rent the material at 30 dollars a
day. I can really recommend it. Now I have some spare money
to buy my first second hand kite”
As you can see Steve was able
to learn how to Kiteboard using just the Kiteboarding lessons
eBook together with the online movies on the site. I have
seen him riding and the level is no different from people
who I have trained myself. Several others used the eBook and
online movies after the Steve did and they were all very
happy with it. So there is a good chance you will be
happy with it too :-)
BUT REMEMBER… the correct how to
kiteboard knowledge is important, but even more important is
your involvement. Kiteboarding really is not that difficult,
you just need to persist and then you will succeed, believe
me.
Kiteboarding really is the best sport in the world, you just
need to try it for yourself.
Rent
or borrow some equipment, read my how to kiteboard eBook,
look at the online video’s and I can assure you after a week
you will be counting the minutes at school/work until you can
leave for a short kiteboarding session afterwards
:-)
